  • What is Valour Place?

    Valour Place is a temporary home away from home for all Canadian Forces members, Families of the Fallen, RCMPs, Veterans and First Responders along with their families who require medical treatment in Edmonton.

  • What is the address of Valour Place?

    11109 111 Ave Edmonton, if you have a GPS it will take you at the front door.

  • Do I need to bring towels, sheets and a hair dryer?

    No,  towels, sheets, shampoo and hand soap (hotel style) and a hairdryer are provided for your use, during your stay at Valour Place,.

  • Do we need to bring food?

    This is up to you. 

    At Valour Place, we provide the basics (milk, coffee, cream, sugar, bread, butter, peanut butter and condiments), and we also have some canned and dry goods (e.g. soups, KD, etc…that were kindly donated by previous guests), as well as fresh garden vegetables (depending on season).  There are supermarkets nearby to buy food, and we have a good selection of “take out” menus if you wish to order-in.  

    There is a great kitchen and dining room for all to enjoy, we just ask that you DO NOT EAT in your rooms.

  • Do you have a play area?

    Yes, we have several areas both inside and outside. In the basement is a safe place (if the weather is not cooperative), where we have a nice play area for infants and toddlers, various games, puzzles and craft area for older ones, as well as a games room (air hockey, foozball, table shuffleboard).  We also have a library where you can “take or leave” a book.

  • Do you have internet and Wi-Fi?

    Yes. We have 4 computers available with internet for your use, and free Wi-Fi throughout the house.  Please make sure you ask for the password at Check-in time.

  • Do you provide transport to our appointments?

    While it is not our mandate to provide transportation, we will try to help out as much as we can.  Make sure you ask during check-in.

  • What are your hours of operation?

    Our front desk is open from 8 am to 4 pm daily (except weekend and holidays). However, if arrival during these hours is not possible - contact the House Manager at 780-455-7707 in order to make other arrangements upon receiving your confirmation from your referral agency.

  • Are you accepting animals?

    Unfortunately NO, however, if you have a 'service dog', they are welcome to join you. But you will be entirely responsible for looking after them. Make sure that you inform your referral agency.

  • Is parking available?

    Yes, guests are provided with free parking while they stay at Valour Place.
